Tokens of Offering at The Altar of the Wifi Gods

Hello, Trek fans!

It has been a little while.

My laptop is still broken, so I am still using the slow one that Gimli lent me, but I am not longer trying to survive off of group wifi - yes! (It was "McDonald's wifi bad" - so bogged down I couldn't even open the blogspot page to type up each entry. It was fun.)

Either way, I can start writing and posting blog posts again, so watch this space for new posts!

About This Blog

I had seen all of the Star Trek spin-offs (Next Gen through Voyager. Enterprise? Never heard of it, sorry), but hadn't viewed TOS at all because, well... I couldn't get past the cheese factor. I changed my mind a few months ago when my roommate popped in the first disc of the first season and discovered that as clunky as it sometimes appeared, it still had all of the things that I liked about those spin-offs. Like many things that I admire, I felt the need to pick it apart and make fun of it. So I decided to create a blog where I view each episode, write up a summary, and mostly make rude comments about Yeoman Rand's hair. I'm going in production order, so the air dates will be off, as they weren't aired in that order, but to go by prod number means that things make more sense throughout the series. I may remark about the tea I'm drinking at the time, refer to other fandoms, or talk about my cats (Bratty, Moe, Uhura and Curie) . I don't know everything about Star Trek, but I am terribly Hermione about information and behind-the-scenes stuff, so I'll probably look stuff up and include some of that as well. A fair warning: if you're a fan of the series, think that it's perfect and would never, ever make fun of it in any way, you might want to stop reading now. This blog will not be your cup of Earl Grey. But, if you laugh at the sometimes goofy effects, ship Spirk, or just wish to revisit an old favorite in a new way, read on!
