Leveling up

So this was my birthday weekend, and while I don't mind leveling up, I'm not really into birthdays at all. So birthday plans basically whittled down to me giving myself two gifts.

Number One: These are MY Lofthouse cookies. Bitches keep eating my cookies without asking, which pisses me off, so this box is MINE. No one can have any but me. Suck it.

Number Two: This week's episode is absolutely the WORST. So I gave myself amnesty from having to spend eight freaking hours with it this weekend. It's possible that you know which one it is, and are thinking, "Damn, I wouldn't want to spend my birthday weekend with that POS, either."

So now you know. Blargh.

Honestly, without even knowing which episode is next, it's the first season, so there are so many bad episodes.

I had seen all of the Star Trek spin-offs (Next Gen through Voyager. Enterprise? Never heard of it, sorry), but hadn't viewed TOS at all because, well... I couldn't get past the cheese factor. I changed my mind a few months ago when my roommate popped in the first disc of the first season and discovered that as clunky as it sometimes appeared, it still had all of the things that I liked about those spin-offs. Like many things that I admire, I felt the need to pick it apart and make fun of it. So I decided to create a blog where I view each episode, write up a summary, and mostly make rude comments about Yeoman Rand's hair. I'm going in production order, so the air dates will be off, as they weren't aired in that order, but to go by prod number means that things make more sense throughout the series. I may remark about the tea I'm drinking at the time, refer to other fandoms, or talk about my cats (Bratty, Moe, Uhura and Curie) . I don't know everything about Star Trek, but I am terribly Hermione about information and behind-the-scenes stuff, so I'll probably look stuff up and include some of that as well. A fair warning: if you're a fan of the series, think that it's perfect and would never, ever make fun of it in any way, you might want to stop reading now. This blog will not be your cup of Earl Grey. But, if you laugh at the sometimes goofy effects, ship Spirk, or just wish to revisit an old favorite in a new way, read on!
